Put on your shoes

“Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace” (Ephesians 6:15).

You have to have your shoes on to take a walk or you are open to injury.

Although it’s been so hot here during the day what I love is early in the mornings it is cool. So, I put on my sturdy shoes and walk with my Barbie weights first thing in the morning to focus on GOD’s gift of trees and squirrels and and roses (Pueblo seems to be a town of roses . As I walk, I talk with GOD when I am alone, or with whomever chooses to go with me.

In the picture above my Grandson Sebastian was out walking with me.

I was just putting on the spiritual armor after my walk today to get ready for my day and whatever comes my way, when I came to “shod your feet with preparation of the gospel of peace.” It was then I realized something I hadn’t quite understood about the armor of GOD although I knew the truth from elsewhere in the Bible.  We can be protected from lies of the enemy by knowing the gospel of peace.  Or how to find peace with GOD.

Peace with God is found in accepting the gospel (good news) of JESUS literal birth, life, DEATH on the cross for our sins and resurrection so that we could life in newness of life.  For JESUS saves to the uttermost all those who come to GOD through HIM (Hebrews 7:25).

Without accepting JESUS and the need for GOD to eradicate sin, the wrath of GOD abides on us (John 3:36). For the love of GOD is found in CHRIST JESUS our LORD (Romans 8:39).
