Alive forever more

Today is Resurrection Sunday and it brings back memories from when I was young.  Yes there were frilly dresses and Easter hats but my memories are full of the songs of Resurrection.  They live in my mind although they are not sung today.  One that comes to mind is….

Alive, alive, alive forever more, my JESUS is alive, alive forever more.  Alive, alive, alive forever more, my JESUS is alive, alive forever more.  Sing Hallelujah, sing Hallelujah, my JESUS is alive forever more. .  Sing Hallelujah, sing Hallelujah, my JESUS is alive.

JESUS being alive means many things… for one it guarantees believers in HIM too will be resurrected.  But lets look at another aspect.

“Wherefore HE (JESUS) is able also to save them to the uttermost (completely and forever) that come unto GOD by HIM, seeing HE (JESUS) ever liveth (lives forever) to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:25).

“For by one offering HE hath perfected forever them that are (being) sanctified (changed into JESUS likeness)” (Hebrews 10:14).

Being JESUS is alive, raised from the dead, if we have come to GOD by HIM (confessed that JESUS is LORD and that GOD raised HIM from the dead and called on the name of the LORD-Romans 10:9-10,13) we can be sure we will live forever with HIM because HE is interceding on our behalf and we are thus being changed into HIS likeness (Romans 8:29).

It is the most amazing thing!

Wars

Many are terrified at certain recent events, fearing war. For we do live in turbulent times of wars and rumor of wars. But GOD has told us in HIS infallible Word not to be afraid (be troubled) for these things must occur (Matthew 24:6).

You see GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only Begotten SON to die for our sin that whosoever believes in JESUS will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).  Our amazing Creator/ Sustainer gave us instructions in HIS WORD the Bible.  HE tells us in HIS Word things beforehand so we will know the truth and what to do when things occur.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope (Romans 15:4).

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of GOD spoke as they were moved by the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT (2 Peter 1:20-21).

In HIS Word the ALMIGHTY warns us of false teachers and says to compare what people (even leaders) say to HIS Word.  If their words do not match HIS Word we can know they are lying (Isaiah 8:20).

Recently I was shocked when one great leader taught that our LORD JESUS CHRIST did not physically (bodily) resurrect from the dead.  Let’s take those words to GOD’s Word. Please open your Bibles (or Bible app on your phone/ iPad) and read 1 Corinthians 15:12-23.)

Now if CHRIST be not risen physically from the dead, then is our preaching vain/worthless, and your faith is also vain/worthless, and we are found false witnesses of GOD; because we have testified of GOD that HE raised up CHRIST.  If CHRIST be not raised, your faith is vain/empty; you are yet in your sins.

If in this life only we have hope in CHRIST JESUS, we are of all men most miserable.

But CHRIST is risen from the dead and become the first of them that fall asleep (died believing). For since by man (Adam) came death, by man (JESUS CHRIST) came also the resurrection of the dead. But every man in his own order: CHRIST the first; afterward they that are CHRIST’s at his coming.

See how important it is to check out what people say with what GOD says? It is equally important to hold on tightly to the promises within HIS Word the Bible for they enable us (2 Peter 1:4).

Looking unto JESUS the Author and Perfecter of my faith.
