The grey areas

Well I know there are some who will swear there were 3 wise men (Matthew 2:11), that the inn keeper SAID there was no room for Mary and Joseph (Luke 2:7) and that there was hay or straw in the manger (Luke 2:7). Those things may be true but they aren’t in the Bible so we should not argue about them. Check it out for yourself.

Besides, GOD says that the servant of the LORD must not strive (quarrel) (2 Timothy 2:24).

Now an apostle stated that if he or even an angel stated something that contradicted the Word of GOD it must be confronted (it actually says, “let them be accursed” Galatians 1:8.9). But we must make sure what is said is really against the Word of GOD and not just against an opinion we have heard or formed.

The Word of GOD is living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12), it is to be the standard we check everything against, not man’s word or opinions.  There is so much I have to do but GOD spoke clearly to me from HIS Word and won’t let me get to any of my to-do list until I share what HE has said.  I write as I am nudged by GOD, it is to glorify HIM the Prince of Peace that I share with you what HE impresses on me as I read HIS Word.  If I say something that does not line up with Scripture, please call me on it.

Something came up in the comments of my last posting that caused me to grieve in my spirit.  They were harsh words of judgment over something not covered in the Word of GOD, not against me but another.  One might call it a grey area.  A grey area that preacher have said much on both sides, but I am not going into that for GOD tells us to avoid foolish discussions and arguing (opinions of issues not in the Word of GOD) for they will only lead to more ungodliness (things GOD has not said nor done) (2 Timothy 2:14,16).

What does GOD say?

“Who are you to judge another’s servant?  To his own Master he stands or falls.  Yea he shall be held up for GOD is able to make him stand.  One-man esteems one day above another, another deems all days alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.  He that regards the day, regards it to the LORD (desiring to honor the LORD), and he that regards not the day, regards it not to the LORD (he is doing what he thinks GOD wants) … (Romans 14:4-6).

Romans 14:4 tells us we have no right to judge what another person does in a grey area.  Now if the Bible speaks on an issue we must stand on the Word of GOD.  But in grey areas GOD’s command in Romans 14:5 says to be fully persuaded in our own minds on every issue.  It does NOT say we must make others see our point of view.

Do you believe something in a grey area is right or wrong?  Keep it between yourself and GOD and blessed are the ones who do not condemn themselves in what they do. For whatsoever is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23-24).

Please consider these things and may GOD bless you as you obey HIS word.

Now, may the LORD guide you with HIS peace(Colossians 3:15), strengthen you with HIS joy (Nehemiah 8:10) and enable you with HIS grace (Hebrews 4:16).  Keep looking unto JESUS (Hebrews 12:2) and talk over your thoughts with HIM (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Hugs
