When my children were little and they were afraid they would grab for my hand. My hand would somehow give them courage.
Are you troubled or weary? Is life right now a bit bumpy and uncertain or even dark with no light? Do you wonder what lies ahead and what direction to go?
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall YOUR hand lead me, and YOUR right hand (of strength) shall hold me (Psalm 139:9-10).
These beautiful verses prompted by the HOLY SPIRIT (2 Peter 1:20-21) give such an awesome promise. It says that no matter where life takes us GOD is with us and HE will take our hand and guide us and HIS strength will see us through.
Notice that it does not say GOD will tell us what to do or where to go but that HE HIMSELF will take our hand and lead us in the way we need to go.
So, if things seem dark and you can not see the light reach out to GOD and HE will without a doubt take your hand and lead you. Remember one of HIS ways is waiting (James 1:2-4) HE may have you wait a bit (Isaiah 40:31) but HE is there strengthening you once you turn to HIM.
LORD, so much is going on in my world and I don’t know which way to turn but YOU do. Cover me with YOUR peace and take my hand and lead me I ask in JESUS name. AMEN
